University Student National Scholarship...Apply through the Korea Student Aid Foundation website and app from November 24th

게시물 내용

In Korea, students from low-income families or students from multi-child families can attend universities without paying tuition.

State scholarships are government-supported scholarships for college students whose income and assets are below a certain level (student support category 8) and who meet the academic standards to reduce the burden of college students' tuition fees.

The national scholarship is divided into three types: type I, type II, and multi-child scholarship. Scholarship payment standards are supported according to the 8 sections of student loan support determined by the government.

When you apply for a national scholarship, the government figures out the income, property, debt, etc. of the student and household members (parents or spouses) to calculate the amount of recognized income and decides on a scale of 1 to 10 accordingly.

Type I National Scholarship

I will explain type I first. Scholarships are provided directly to college students from families receiving basic livelihood security and those from second-income households without having to calculate the student loan support section. For the first child, up to 7 million won per year is supported, and from the second child onwards, full tuition support is provided.

Students in Sections 1-3 receive 5.2 million won per year, Sections 4-6 receive 3.9 million won, and Sections 7-8 receive 3.5 million won. The higher the level, the lower the subsidy amount. In Type I, scholarships are provided only for up to 8 sections.

Type National Scholarship

National Scholarship Type can apply up to 9 section students according to each university's own application standards. The student applies for type I, but for type II, the university makes the application at the discretion of the university.

The amount of support is determined within the tuition fee according to the university's own standards.

Not all universities can do this, but only if the university participates in the National Scholarship Type project. However, since 162 4-year universities are participating, I think it will be applicable.

National Scholarship for Multiple Children

Students from households with 3 or more children can apply for the National Scholarship for Multiple Children. You can receive support when you are in the 8th section or less, and the maximum annual support amount for the first and second children is similar to or slightly higher than Type I.

However, all students as a third child or from the fourth onwards can receive full support. Awesome ^^

When do you apply?

The Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation are accepting applications for national scholarships for the first semester of the 2023 school year from November 24th to December 29th at 6pm.

Application is available 24 hours a day on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website (www.kosaf.go.kr) and mobile app for all university students, including current students, freshmen, transfer students, re-entering students, and returning students. All three types can be applied during this period.

After applying for the national scholarship, you are most curious about which section you fall into? The Ministry of Education decided to notify students whether or not the calculation of the student loan support section was completed via mobile phone and e-mail.

Oh, if you can't apply for a scholarship because the section is more than 10 sections, you can get a student loan ^^

What if you need a consultation?

The result of applying for this national scholarship can be found on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website (www.kosaf.go.kr). If you need detailed counseling, you can receive one-on-one customized counseling by phone (1599-2000) or visiting each regional center of the foundation.

In addition, the applicant must complete the consent to provide household member information and submit the necessary documents by 6:00 pm on January 5 next year.

In addition, the applicant must complete the consent to provide household member information and submit the necessary documents by 6:00 pm on January 5 next year.

Oh, I did not explain the grade standard, one of the important requirements.^^ If you are a freshman, the grade standard does not apply, but if you are a current student, you must have a grade of 70 (C grade) or higher in the previous semester

to apply for the national scholarship.

A C grade is a grade that can be obtained even if you go to university while having fun, so everyone will be able to receive a national scholarship.
