In the future, foreigners and citizens can conveniently and quickly report to any emergency agency in an emergency situation by installing just one app.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security is providing the ‘Emergency Report Baro App’ service, which integrates 112 and 119 reporting functions into one mobile app, from May 17th.

The 'Emergency Report Baro App' can be reported to any agency at once, depending on the type of report, such as ▲crime ▲fire ▲rescue/first aid ▲marine accident.

In addition, even in situations where it is difficult to report by phone, you can quickly report it by selecting a picture or phrase, and if you report by selecting the “no voice call” option even if you are hearing-impaired or threatened, the receiving agency can respond appropriately according to the situation.

In particular, multilingual reporting functions such as English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Filipino are provided so that multicultural families or foreigners who have difficulty speaking Korean can conveniently report without language barriers.

Prior to the full-scale launch of the ‘Emergency Report Baro App’, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security conducted preliminary pilot operation for family centers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, foreign worker support centers, and associations for the deaf.

Therefore, we improved the convenience of using the app by reflecting user opinions, such as the addition of the ‘no voice call’ selection function and the change of wording, which were suggested during the pilot operation period.

Married migrant women who participated in the pilot operation said, "Immigration women who are not good at Korean have a lot of difficulties in reporting emergencies, but I am relieved to be able to report them conveniently in my native language through the 'Emergency Reporting Baro App'.“

To use the ‘Emergency Report Baro App’, download and install it from the ‘Play Store’ for Android phones and the ‘App Store’ for iPhones.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security will hold an ‘online quiz event’ through the website of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security from May 17th to 26th to activate the use of the app, then 200 people who answered the quiz correctly will be drawn and given coffee coupons.
