May, the month of family...A lots of experience programs are held at family centers across the country

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced that it would operate around 800 family participation experience programs at 244 family centers across the country in celebration of the month of family in May.

The month of family was designated in 1989 on the occasion of the UN's International Day of Families. In Korea, since it was implemented in 1994, this year marks the 30th.

Accordingly, family centers across the country decided to hold various communication and experiential events for families to participate together.

Each family center offers family-friendly programs such as 'Dad and Drone Playground' (Siheung City Family Center), 'Family Love Turtle Marathon' (Dalseo-gu Family Center, Daegu), and 'Samcheok Outside the Tent' to promote family relationships between parents and children. (Samcheok City Family Center) and 'Family Healing Concert' (Sacheon City Family Center).

'Single-Parent Family Day Event' (Guri City Family Center), 'Multicultural Family Food Culture Communication' (Seosan City Family Center), 'Two-income Family Rural Experience' (Daejeon Seo-gu Family Center), 'Adding Happiness to Single Households' (Gimhae City Family Center) ) and other customized events for various families will also be prepared.

Along with this, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family will run the ‘Happy Khan, Love Han Khan’, a national participation campaign for family love, through social networking services (SNS) on the occasion of Family Month, from April 25th.

In the campaign, participants can fill in the blanks in the sentence ‘My family is [ ]’ and take a heart-shaped authentication photo with their family members to participate.

The meaningful messages received through the campaign will be screened at the family month celebration.
