What is the K-point E74 plan?
*New visa system: K-point E74 plan was prepared by largely reflecting the opinions of companies and comprehensively considering national interests, social integration, and balanced regional development. Accordingly, it has been made possible for foreigners to obtain permanent residency approximately 10 years after obtaining an E-7-4 visa.
*How to obtain an E-7-4 visa? : According to the new system, foreigners wishing to obtain an E-7-4 visa must ① stay in the country for more than 4 years and ② have a certain level of Korean language proficiency. Additionally, you must ③ receive a recommendation from a company you have been working for for more than a year as of the date of application, and ④ receive 200 points or more according to the new scoring system.
E-7-4 score system changed
*Change to 300 points: The E-7-4 score system has been changed according to the K-point E74 plan. The existing E-7-4 scoring system was out of 224 points, but was changed to out of 300 points. But if it's difficult to get 200 points, it's no use, right?
*It’s not difficult to get scores: The Ministry of Justice has decided to grant 120 points for completing just 4 steps of the TOPIC or Social Integration Program. *How do I apply? : Applications for conversion to skilled workers (E-7-4) will be processed through online electronic civil service on the Hi Korea website (www.hikorea.go.kr) from September 25 without the need to visit the Immigration Office. *Long-term residence in Korea possible: The new K-point E74 system also leaves open the possibility for foreign workers to acquire nationality. For this reason, Korean language proficiency was set as a mandatory requirement. Foreign workers who receive a skilled worker (E-7-4) visa must continue to work for the company for at least two years.
*Impossible if you break Korean law: Since foreigners who obtain an E-7-4 visa can also acquire Korean nationality, from the beginning, ▲illegal immigrants, ▲tax delinquents, and ▲those with a criminal history with a fine of 1 million won or more were excluded from obtaining a visa. . The idea is that only foreigners who follow Korea’s law and order will be accepted.
*How do I get permanent residency in Korea? : Foreign workers who entered the country on an E-9 visa can obtain an E-7-4 visa more easily than in the past under the new K-point E74 system. If you meet the requirements such as stay and income for more than 5 years, you can receive a residence (F-2) visa, and after another 5 years, you can obtain a permanent resident card (F-5).
