Over 210,000 passengers travel daily via Incheon airport during Chuseok holiday                     More than 210,000 passengers traveled through Incheon International Airport per day during this year's eight-day Chuseok holiday period, marking the highest daily average for the holiday, data showed Sunday.

An average of 217,613 travelers used the airport from Oct. 2-9, up 6.4 percent from the same period a year ago, according to data compiled by the airport. A total of 1.74 million passengers used Korea's main gateway airport, west of Seoul, during period.

Protesters in Manila Accuse Government of Misusing Environmental Funds                     Thousands of Filipinos filled the streets of Manila on Sunday to protest the government which they accuse of misappropriating billions of dollars that were designated for flood relief projects.

The protest's organizers called for the demonstrations after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. revealed in July, during his 2025 State of the Nation address, that a number of flood-control projects he had previously announced as complete had been riddled with anomalies.

Another cash handout scheme to be offered to 90% of citizens from Sept. 22                  Another round of a voucher scheme offering cash handouts to 90 percent of citizens will be implemented later this month, officials said Friday, as part of efforts to stimulate private consumption.

Under the scheme, 90 percent of all citizens will be eligible for the handouts, worth 100,000 won ($72) per person in the form of "consumption coupons" with applications to start on Sept. 22 and end on Oct. 31.

Philippine central bank cuts benchmark rate by 25 basis points                                                MANILA - The Philippine central bank cut its key policy rate by 25 basis points to 5.0% on Thursday, as expected, its third consecutive reduction.

The move followed data this month showing inflation eased to a near six-year low of 0.9% in July, while the economy grew by an annual 5.5% in the second quarter, its fastest annual pace in a year.
