I have been married to my Korean husband for nearly 6 years and have a 15-month-old baby. I am currently pregnant (4 months) with my second child. In the meantime, my husband and mother-in-law always bullied me.
My mother-in-law recently came to my house, threatened and assaulted me while pregnant, and she took my first child on her own, despite my objections.
I talked to my husband and he pretended he didn’t know about it, so I couldn't hold back my anger and swear at him; then, my husband tried to hit me. So I picked up the knife with the intention of defending myself, however my husband called the police and reported that I was trying to kill him.
There was no evidence of assault by my husband and mother-in-law, so I returned to Vietnam with the child from my mother-in-law's house the next day. Then my husband's family reported me for kidnapping.
Now I'm about to give birth, and my husband's family kindly says, 'Bring the children to Korea.'
Another problem is that I passed the naturalization test, but I haven't received my resident registration card yet. My period of stay will expire soon, will it affect my citizenship? Will I be punished for kidnapping if I enter Korea?
