◆ Strengthening support for families giving birth

The Korean government provides childbirth support, called First Meeting Voucher, to children. In addition, married couples or couples who have children can receive a gift of 150 million won from each family, up to a maximum of 300 million won, within two years. ◆ Relieve the burden on families giving birth

The Korean government pays parental benefits to parents of children aged 0 to 1 to compensate for the decrease in each family's income due to childbirth or childcare. The amount of parental benefit support will be increased from 700,000 won to 1 million won per month for 0-year-olds, and from 350,000 won to 500,000 won per month for 1-year-olds. ◆ Protection of pregnant women in crisis

The Korean government has decided to protect children's birth information by notifying them to local governments to ensure that no child is missing from birth registration, and to establish 12 local counseling centers across the country for pregnant women in crisis to provide various counseling and services.
