‘e-Book Dream’ to read books for free

The surest way for children to study well is to read books. Children who have a habit of reading books have no choice but to become honor students in the end.

But I can't buy all the books my child wants. You can borrow it from the library, but it takes a lot of time to come and go, and it's annoying.

Then, try the ‘e-Book Dream’ service provided by the Korean Ministry of Education.

The ‘e-Book Dream’ service is a ‘free e-book subscription service’ that allows children familiar with digital devices to read books without worrying about costs.

A child who wants to read can read an unlimited number of books through the ‘e-Book Dream’ service without limiting the number of monthly subscriptions.

Students, teachers, and out-of-school youth can search for ‘Comprehensive Support System for Reading Education’ and enter the ‘Comprehensive Support System for Reading Education’ in their region.

If you access the Comprehensive Support System for Reading Education in each region, you must log in first. If you do not know the ID of the Comprehensive Support System for Reading Education (DLS), you can ask the librarian at the school your child attends to check. Therefore, it is good to check the DLS ID issued by the school library in advance.

In the case of out-of-school youth, you can use it through a separate application on the website of the Out-of-school Youth Support Center ‘Dream Dream’ (www.kdream.or.kr).

Free transition to ‘EBS Middle School Premium

The Ministry of Education announced that starting July 17, the ‘EBS Middle School Premium’ course, a paid online education service for middle school students, will be completely free of charge.

EBS is an educational broadcasting channel established by the Korean government. There are two types of services: free (based on EBS published textbooks) and paid (based on textbooks and famous textbooks) to create broadcasting lectures so that children can study school at home.

However, this time, we decided to convert the paid service ‘EBS Middle School Premium’ (https://mid.ebs.co.kr) to free.

To subscribe to ‘EBS Middle School Premium’, you have to pay 710,000 won per year, but from now on, you can take 30,000 courses for free.

This measure was put forward by the Ministry of Education as a measure to reduce private education.

EBS plans to provide rich learning materials to learners by further expanding course development that learners prefer.

For multicultural families who are burdened with tuition fees or living in rural areas, it is difficult to attend good private academies, please use ‘EBS Middle School Premium’.
