From July 14th, overseas entrants will be able to register their polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results online after entering the country.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) announced that it will introduce the PCR test result registration function in the quarantine information pre-entry system (Q-code) from the 14th after entering Korea.
Currently, foreigners who have undergone the PCR test are notifying the public health center of the PCR test results through phone calls or text messages, but in some cases, they are omitted.
When this system is introduced, public health centers will be able to check the test results of inbound travelers registered in the Q-code, and encourage foreigners who have not registered the test results to be tested.
Currently, disease control authorities are operating the quarantine information pre-entry system (Q-code) to simplify the entry quarantine procedure. In the Q-code, you can shorten the time required for quarantine at the airport by entering your passport, vaccinations, tests, and health status information before boarding the plane and receiving a QR code.
From July 14, even those who did not use the Q-code when entering the country can register the PCR test results after entering the country.
Currently, PCR testing within 3 days of entry is mandatory. If it is difficult to register test results due to inexperienced Internet use, etc., you must contact or visit the local public health center to submit the test results.
To register the test result, access the Q-code website (https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr) → Register for inspection after entering the country → Enter passport number, date of birth, and date of arrival and search → Enter inspection date, test result and upload PCR test result do it in order.
